Response to article by John Quiggin (2 December 1999). Points out that the deregulated NZ labour market has performed well.
Letter to Senator Meg Lees (29 October 1999). Suggests that the increase in flexibility in negotiating employer/employee relationships should not be seen as an attack on trade unions but as enhancing the potential for increasing employment in the context of a social security and award safety net.
Letter to Senator Murray (28 October 1999). Points out that Senator Murray is incorrect in claiming that ABS reports show that the distribution of income is becoming is more unfair each year and that measures to increase employment protection (such as through awards) reduce the potential for increasing employment.
